Friday My Town Shoot Out..
This week we get to choose or favorite subject from the history of FMTSO's. I adore a good macro..my favorite kind of photograph..but even more..cause it challenges me..is a good Bokeh shot. That sweet looking blur or sparkly background that appears out of focus..but still beautiful. This occurs when the photographer purposely changes the depth of field by using a shallow focus. Making either the closest or farthest item in sharp focus while the rest is blurry. A beautiful blur is called Bokeh.
So here are a few of my bokeh shots..that I like from my archives...
I hope ya like them too!
Happy Weekend all!!
Hugs and Namaste, Sarah

Beautiful! Is Bokeh a Japanese term, do you know? Sort of sounds Japanesish, like wabi sabi.
That one that looks like a green pumpkin, is it a bud? I love it.
The young girl of course.
You've certainly succeeded with the bokeh effect in these shots :)
I love them all! looks like we choose the same theme. ;)
Gorgeous photos! :) I love the dragonfly!
I like the clean look of the black and white, I can see the veins in the leaf. Lovely.
You are sooooo good at this. Seriously. I wish you were here, I'd hire you to photograph dolls and folk art for juried art shows. Seriously good. at. this.
you are the queen of bokeh!! wonderful choices Sarah.
I put my comment on the wrong post. But yes, you ae the queen of bokeh. I saw instruction somewhere the other day. I thought it was on your post. I am going looking for it.

I particularly like the third one down -- the colors and composition of the background set off the flower perfectly. Macro Bokeh -- sounds like a wild Latin Dance.
Wow, Wow, Wow! Really beautiful on the eye esecially the leaf and the drolet and ohhh the sunlight! gorgeous! Hope you are well! ((hugss))
Sarah, wonderful macro shots as usual. I really like the last one.
I love bokeh to, just found out what that meant about a month ago when someone wrote on my blog and said the photo was a good example of bokeh, say what? i said? i have always loved that blurry background, but never heard the word. i can't pick a favorite out of these they are all wonderful. i like that funny looking green thing that looks like it is folding in on itself.
Sarah - You've outdone yourself on these photos - they are exquisite!
Gorgeous photos!!! Happy April! Theresa
