Now For Something Completely Different....

So I took a little departure from my regular creative fare this weekend. I had dearly wanted to do a bit of sewing for months now..but life gets in the way. So over the last year or so I have gathered up some sweet pieces of fabric that I love..much of it by Debbie Mumm...and waited. I waited for that perfect weekend to just let my quilting bug fly.

Oh my who could resist this sweet fabric..sigh....

So I created this little machine sewn quilt..a bitty wall hanging that will make me smile.

Oh oh oh I love this fabric...

A bit of hand work....

Look at those sweet puppies and kits!

Those sweet paw prints...

And there it is..20"x24" just perfect for a little patch of wall.

Sigh..I am a happy girl!

Soooo cute! I love the Debbie Mum fabric line too! I am in a sewing frame of mind too right now, so I am working on a skirt to take with me to Ireland next week - it's green of course! Amazingly I don't have a quilt going right now, but this little gem is a reminder that even a little project can be so much fun!

Smiles!

Oh Sarah, your talents knows to end! I love that about you, always surprising us with the most beautiful crafty magic! That is a beautiful wee piece and I am so happy you caught the sewing bug again. The fabric is beautiful, one of my favourite days out is looking in fabric shops. I could be in there for hours! I am hoping to make some bunting with all my fabric, but I only have a wee mini sewing machine which has a life of its own, but my friend just bought a super dooper one and will let me use it!I just hope i dont sew my fingers together or something like that! lol! ((hugs))

Hi Sarah! Thanks so much for stopping by and for the follow. I love meeting new folks and am very happy to meet you! I'm following you on this blog and your other garden one too - I adore those dragons! Wow, Julia and kj are here, ain't blogland grand?

Debbie Mom rocks! What a wonderful quilt you created - as I've said to many of my sewing friends, I would really love to learn how to quilt one day - just gotta get lots of illustrating goals met first.

Have a great week, cheers! Susan
