I don't know why I find this picture so charming. I guess around here we know it's Spring when the bug catching equipment comes out. My son, Fox is a bug hound and we spend most of the year with jars filled with specimens. Other parents bring bugs from trips and home to share. Good thing I like bugs huh!! It does not take long for a bug shy child to get into the groove and loose their fear. Fox leads a daily Bug Team expedition for new critters to examine and identify. So... when the bugs finally arrived and came out of their hiding spots my little guys were out looking. This is Zoe's pill bug and her sweet little hand. Off to enjoy the lovely almost 70 degree weather.... I have to dig up a couple of new jars....

Ha Ha...I have spiders and geckos...My neighbor Cecyl (senior citizen ~ what he prefers)always tells me..."Sonia come get your spider and put 'em back in your yard...Why must they visit me?". I tell him because I tell them too because I know he is scared of them..And geckos are a good luck sign around a home...I have a tattoo of the shadow of a gecko..below my celtic trinity sign on the back of my neck...Oh theres something new no one knew about me...LOL...
Love pill bugs...and roly polies are they the same thing? hmmm

My nephew is into bugs like crazy. The things this kid will bring home amazes me.

Lol--we keep every glass jar w a lid, every plastic container w a lid. We have ant farms. My daughter has her own 35mm camera and she goes out to take pictures of every bug she can find. She still can't understand why I don't want the praying mantis she catches all year to live here inside the house w us. I simply wish I didn't have to pick up the bugs she finds too icky to pick up.
