Oooh I like this one I really dooooooo!! Linda in Canada offered up this delicious theme!! I adore doing Macros so this one just made me smile!! My kiddos helped me find great choices here - turned into a lesson about textures - whoo hoo, double score!! I guess I always tend to lean toward the natural stuff..so here we go... (Oh and don't forget to sign up for my giveaway!!)....
Here is a bit of colorful lichen....
Then we tootled over to the garden for a macro of those mystery squash leaves..
The kids were over the moon to find this fellow. Look at his amazing wings..even the broken one! Looks like he made a close escape!
Don't ya just want to reach up and stir these bad boys with your fingers, swirl them around a bit more?
Nonni found this lovely pine cone on a walk with her Dad (she calls him Papa).
This amazing flower is one of my beautiful purple echinacea half way to blooming. The kids were amazed at a green flower!!
No not any snow right now, although it was 64 on Wednesday??!! I took this in Feb. and just love this shot..look at the texture in that snow!!!
I hope everyone has a restful weekend!! Namaste, Sarah

What a beautiful dragonfly!
The pics are great as always, but the small bit that made me smile and sigh, is your mentioning that your little one refers to her father as, "Papa"...I love that part....

I love this man's photos and dialog, he often knows the name - family and genus - I find that wonderful. my favorite shot is the tree (wood) with lichen
Beautiful. I bet it was fun looking for textures. You do such a great job with your photography. One of these days I should get a better camera.
Blessings,
Christine
Really need to learn how to get those spectacular close-up shots. Use an SLR? My little point-and-shoot is supposed to be able to do that but need to get it down. Great pictures.
Amazing pictures and beautiful textures! You've gone and done it again!
Sarah, these are incredible! Oh my stars! I loved them all, especially the dragonfly, the snow, the echinacea and the lichen. You are one smart cookie, my talented friend!
Awesome texture pics. My favorite was the first one.
I like the purple echinacea best ... the flower is in focus and the background is not.
So beautiful, Sarah! I loved every single one of them LOTS!!!!!
I am a macro nut too. Love the dragonfly!
Awesome blossom! The color of the green is amazing. Now where's my camera? You've inspired me. Great work. Hugs, Diana
Sarah, great texture pictures!!! I think I like the green coneflower one the best, really unusual! Great photos!

These pictures are amazing!! I just realized somehow I wasn't following your blog yet, so I have been been forgetting to check it, but I am now going to remedy that.
How in the world did you get a picture of that bug?? that is truly amazing!!
I am doing good, to answer your question. Thanks for always coming by my blog.
Hi Sarah! Wow, you Are a terrific photographer!!! I adore textures so much and what a great way to teach your children a lesson! These photos are fantastic.
I got your comments and thank you so much for all your nice words and most of all I am jumping up and down that I am your 175th follower and that you want to send me my favorite drawing print of yours!!! Yay! I have a perfect place already screaming to have your drawing hanging on it's place!
Some of my walls look like an art gallery, with special photos as well of my family and friends. I just love my walls and mobiles hanging from my ceilings and your drawing will belong to a very happy family of art work. You will be sending it to a very good home! I have a problem though, I can not find your e-mail address on your blog. My address is:
Linga713@sbcglobal.net
I can not wait to hear from you again!!! Rather than saying I'm jumping up and down, I'd rather say I am swirling and twirling amongst the white clouds and very blue sky! It's daylight here or I'd be in the dark of the night flying amongst the stars and moon!
Linda :)
That lichen is a beauty, great detail on the enlarged picture, and the snow too.
Great post.
The lichen photo was amazing, loves the contrast of colors. I also find your picture of the caterpillar (July 7 post) cute. Nice photos! I enjoyed your blog. :)
What amazing photos this week. I think the green flower is my favorite. I finally got my post up. Better late than never.
Love that lichen photo - isn't nature beautiful?
