I Love This......

I love this picture..it is a Nonni original..created just for me... her Mama!! I love this...I really do!! I didn't teach her this..this is all her! She recently discovered my very fine pen and ink markers..she likes them. A lot!!

It has always been my practice to have lots of art supplies available not only to my own children but those who are in my care during the week. Pens, crayons, paper, paint, clay, beads you name it, it is there to Let Fly with! I love that. Fox has been blowing though notebooks of paper since he was two and continues to create new games and comics..(will share some of that soon- I love his Army Bug!) But this piece just kinda stopped me in my tracks...wow sweetie...just wow!

So I thought I would brag on my own kiddos today and just smile the wonder of what she created...just for me, her Mama!! Did I say that I just loved it?
Happy Tuesday all! Namaste, Sarah

Your sweet princess definitely has your artistic genes, quite a talented young lady! I love that you always have art suplies out for the kids, I've always done that myself, especially with schools cutting out the arts because of budget cuts. Every child is born an artist and somewhere along the way he/she loses their way, usually because of a thoughtless remark by an adult.

Well done Nonni!

Yay, Nonni! Genes are powerful things. I think every generation in our family has produced artists. There must be an artist gene. It skipped me. Visual art, anyway. Sigh. But Yay, Nonni!

That is such a great picture! I too love to have things around that my kids can color and create... it really is such a gift for them to be able to do it when they want, even if they don't always do it so well :)

This is so lovely and what a little poppet she is :) It's great when we see the start of their talent and the potential of who they are going to be.

Thanks for your kind comments, and sorry about your bunny too, hugs to you to. x

Wow. That is quite the talent you got there. :) Honestly, the placement of the eyes for one. Maybe she'll grow up to be an artist like her mom. ;)

Wow! She certainly inherited her Mom's talent, right down to the little details of putting that little surprise bug in her drawing. And what child, that young, draws a face like that? I'd say that girl deserves her own set of pens & markers in her Easter Basket! (The Easter Bunny used to bring my kiddos little things from the art supply store, more than candy)

I love that you have supplies readily available for all of the kids that spend time at your house. I strongly believe in giving them every opportunity to let creativity flow!

Congratulations, Nonni! It is a beautiful drawing! Now. .what kind of frame would look good around it?

She is soooo cute! I love her drawing too - has mama's artistic talent, yes? I always have tons of art supplies around for our kids too, and a huge board for them to display their latest and greatest creations.

So fun on the weekends when we are all at the kitchen table together working on our sketches / paintings/ etc.

Thanks for sharing this.
