Wishcast Wednesday..

This pic from...http://simplymarvelous.wordpress.com/

Dear Jamie has offered us a challenge again today.."What do we wish to let go of?" Ok so this is not an easy one. This is one of those ones ya can't just say...like...chocolate. This is one of those deeper questions.

Ok ya ready? Here goes...I wish to let go of my constant pressure on myself to keep pushing so hard! Many of you know that the last couple of years have been a huge financial step up, following a good many years of poverty after my divorce in 1997. I have worked my backside off getting the family to the point that we were not living hand to mouth or worse some months ..nothing to put in the mouth unless it came from the food bank. I have no shame in where we have been..but do not want to go back there. The economy of the last year has taken it's toll on my childcare business and on the artwork sales as well. We have taken a couple steps backwards. I will admit it scares me to be closer to the pit. I am fighting hard to not step back any farther.

This week I was reminded that struggle is pointless..sleepless nights, cranky moods, being hard on myself or Jim about the money. It only serves to make me crazy and not so fun to be around. Since last May I have taken very little time to just play for fear of losing ground. I mentioned last week my need to get my organizer together..I have - whoo hoo..but in the process realized that my lack of time for fun was glaring! I am working with kids or my artwork about 14 hours a day most day and weekends too. I'm ok with most of that...but I have not been giving myself any down time. I really need that..to give myself permission to stop and do whatever.

What reminded me? Two things..I had a new student inroll out of the blue Monday and what you see in my post below this one. The previous post..shows some pictures of me in full Halloween get up. I was given a challenge to do a full upper body witch dress up. Ya know dressing up..remember that? Well...I did it and had soooo much fun getting my goth on and just having fun with it. I took my camera in the bathroom and Let Fly with my makeup training of old and just had a hoot!

So...I want to let go of this need to keep pushing SOOOOOO hard and relax a bit. I can't stop working, but I can give myself permission to pull over tie the horses up and step down for a bit. LOL I need to Let Fly with the Letting Fly!! What do you wish to let go of? Namaste, Sarah

As a divorced Mum I understand the pressures you put yourself under and that society (in the form of the need for money!) gives you. So, yes, you deserve some down time. Go sit and relax and do more of that spooky dressing up. Love the pics - especially the first one - very beautiful in a slightly scary way!

As you wish, so I wish for you. It's so easy to be hard on ourselves.

It can be so hard to let go, but I only hope that once we truly let go of something, we will feel so much better.

Oh Sarah!
Let it go Let it go Let it go!!
Let it all go!

Great how we Sisters are discovering each other here (Thanks Jamie!)!

As Sarah wishes for herself, so do I also wish for her with all my heart!

And I LOVE your Goth!
Makes me want to get mine on! I don't make enough time for fun either. Got the Halloween show going, and for a bit I let it get out of hand and stop being FUN. Gotta let that go too! ;D

Love to you,
Jennifer

As Sarah wishes for herself, so I also wish for her. I believe you can fly!

Remember what Dr. Lao said to little Mike "...the whole world is a circus if you look at it the right way. Every time you pick up a handful of dust, and see not the dust, but a mystery, a marvel, there in your hand - every time you stop and think, 'I'm alive, and being alive is fantastic!' - every time such a thing happens, you are part of the Circus of Dr. Lao."

Here's to honesty and here's to just give yourself the permission to relax.
Just be, even if it's only for a moment a day. Just breathe deep, drink a cup of good tea, watch the nature around you and tell your self: well done, Sarah, you have all done very well!

I want to let go of my need to control, my kids, my husband, everything. I can't control everything and change everything so why make myself crazy trying. I just need to totally let go and trust God that he will take care of what I can't.

Okay, today when you realize why you push so hard, remember that in large part that's also because The Muse has found you an open conduit to her needs.

Just look at what you did with me for my give away! Sarah, the trick here that will keep you from going back to that place you hated is that you now know the place!

You can tell where the edge is and how big the hole is, how deep it is.

Once you know what the dragon really looks like, you know what weapons are necessary to keep it under your control.

So, please look at the Scottie on your page and laugh because it sure has made others smile in desperate times...and who could pay enough for that?!

As Sarah wishes for herself and those she loves, I lovingly and with intention wish for her also.

Fear allows the dragon to come out of its hole. No fear...no fear...just have fun in front of it. It makes it stomp off to the dark with a hiss and puff of smoke.

As Sarah wishes for herself, so I wish for her also. More time to play, more time to breathe, more time to pause and enjoy the fruits of you labor. Love the witchy photos, that looks like a lot of fun.
Let go and Let fly.

Ah Sarah! AS you wish for yourself, so mote it be!
Love the gothy pics, too!!

When I began my massage business, my mentor chided a couple of us when we thought of being available for sessions 7 days a week "give yourself at least one day off!" She worked 4 days, 5 sessions a day, & rarely varied from that . . . so important to make time for *you*!!

My favorite 'mantra' for attracting new clients (or returns) is "May those who can heal/benefit from my work (for appropriate energy exchange!) come to me, & others find their ideal healer" & occ. put my hands on the apt book & invite the universe to meet my needs
(The *current economy* has played some havoc - still, work is slow, but steady)

Lastly - consider flower essences as you move through layers of 'guilt' around your choice to leave NC several years ago - both for yourself & the girls :) Black Current helps heal 7 generations of karma/family 'stuff' & comes to mind
Blessings!

Wow, we really are in a similar place. I love the way you allowed yourself permission to "pull over, tie the horses up and step down for a bit" brilliant metaphor, by the way. You see? You're higher self knew you couldn't continue at that pace and your inner muse was allowed to merge. Maybe you and she need to start getting to know each other a little better?

As Sarah wishes for herself, so I wish for her as well!

I have to admit I'm anti-push. You (all of us) need our breathing room. To do something completely different and activate another part of the brain...let the pushy part rest. Even when one works out the body...you have to let it rest. Nature rests (winter time)... so...relax. You will probably get more done!

May you have time for play and time for yourself - we all need that!
Take care.

As Abraham/Hicks would say - Paddling upstream will get you nowhere fast. Here's to going with the flow, and letting the current of the water carry you along, easily and effortlessly.

As Sarah wishes for herself, so do I wish for her as well.
