Ree Drummond
One of my favorite places to visit during the week is Ree Drummond's blog Pioneer Woman. She is having a photography/ photo book contest this week.."Faces". I am being brave and threw my little book into the pot in hopes she might find my work interesting. There will be hundreds of entries. So I thought I would share it with you and see what ya thought of my little book of faces.

Sarah, this is a natural for you! You are always drawn to the intricacies of faces and their expressions.
I'm glad to see that you are stepping up your challenges in photography by entering them! Even if someone else's photos were to be chosen this time around,(and don't be disheartened. .remember, it is only the judge's opinion.) it is amazing how much more you can learn, just by studying the other entries. Having a diverse body of work at your immediate disposal is both stimulating, and hones your critical eye, which will relfect in your future endeavors.
Having said all of that, your selections are competition worthy, and I wish that everything falls in your favor to win!

Sarah...man oh man are you whacked with talent! Your photos are gorgeous...you capture the "character" of your subjects, or event...and that takes talent. I know because my BFF and husband are professional photographers...and it's harder than it looks from this amateur's point of view!

Lovely lovely pictures Sarah....you have amazing 'eyes'. Suz and I are impressed with all the 'character' you capture...Your family is beautiful and that includes 'ol' baldy'... ;-)
BTW...young "blue eyes" has the "gift"....far stronger than the others.
