Monday Musings...and an Apology

I have been gone from my blogs and groups more than I would like of late..I apologise for this. I feel bad that so many of you have not had visits from me..I miss you. The last few months have been financially rough. When the folks in Washington DC. tell us the recession is over and all is well..uhmmm I really have to wonder what planet they are broadcasting from..cause here in N. Idaho...not so much!

Given that my main income is created by my in home preschool & afterschool program..and most of my clientele this year is after school kiddos..it has been a bit of an adjustment. Less income..more stress about money..more reaching out for new folks. As new folks join us(blessings)...more readjusting..which is good..but still adjusting. As a care provider we are always dealing with not only the child's personality ..but the parents as well. I am lucky...no uber lucky..I have amazing parents! Loving and dedicated to their children..and honestly I like each and every one of them. As a teacher..this is not always the case..believe me some parents can make you nuts!! Not this group! So as we blend in new kiddos into the group, we are adjusting. This all takes time...time that I am unavailable here.

I am also creating up a storm...as the art market is very depressed..and depressing..I have been working hard to find new ways to express my creativity. Not just with my artwork..but with yarn and fabric...I have been knitting and crocheting till my arms hurt LOL! I have been doing a few commission pieces..and generally pimping myself all over the place ROFLMAO! Seriously is funny but stressful and more time consumed. I have also applied for college next Spring..to take a few classes online and fill some of my down time and finish my BA. More time consumed with paperwork and counseling appointments.

I guess what I am saying here today is...that I am feeling horrid that I have neglected my dear friends here and in the groups the last 8 weeks. I have been overwhelmed with money issues, school starting, changing of my kiddos this fall and life in general..I have been consumed by stuff. None of which I could do much about..stuff that needed to be done..just frustrated that I am not here as much as I would like.

So I am asking for your patience..both here and in the groups I am in..I will get on top of it all. I will be back more consistently..and visit you again..be more myself again. But at the moment paying the bills is on the top of my list and most of my energy and creativity are being poured into ways to do just that. So I hope you will not think I don't care..or have faded away..my passion is still here...my time is just being used up. I hope you will pop on by when I post something..I will try to pop by and see you too! I miss you all..and wanted to tell you how much you mean to me..and that I have not gone away..or become bored with blogging...I am just being consumed by the effects of a recession that Washington said is over...hmmmmmmm.

Hugs and love, Sarah

I'm a sporadic blogger at best anyway, but the "non-recession" (HA -- obviously the DC'ites haven't spent any time in NC, either) has rendered my rare appearances even more so. Add to that school starting and two kids in a school that prides itself on its "rigor" (aka giving too much busy work for homework), well, it means less time (and frankly, energy or inspiration) for this.

Life happens, and when it does it takes priority. I certainly understand, and I'm quite sure others do as well.

Blessings to you as you navigate your way through. *hugs*

Understand for sure. They don't know about our recession down here in KY. either. Real estate taxes and insurance fees up, up, up. I have made all 19 of my family's Christmas gifts. Shoulders, hands and wrists are suffering. I am just moseying along in the photo class. Learning from all in group too. Blessings

Sarah, it's so easy to get behind with things. Real life has a habit of sticking its toe in now and then. I hope things get a bit easier for you soon. :)

Sarah - We went through many years of financial straits when I was ill and life kept sending us many curve balls. Have faith in yourself and life because it is so worth it. I know I sound pithy when I say it will pass but it will. Huge hug for you and know we are all there for you!

Beautiful Sarah - you are so missed, but there is absolutely no need to apologize. Everyone understands - these are extremely difficult times, world wide, and we all need to reassess our priorities in order to get through it. Please know that you are very loved by all of us who you have stood by for so long. Now it is our turn to support you and demonstrate the same kind and generous spirit that you have transmitted out so willingly!

No apology needed here! I understand totally the financial part. We are having staggering medical bills and can't catch up on anything. As ill as I've been I hardly am able to go to work (altho I do as I owe, I owe) and artwork has been non-existant. I sometimes wonder if I'll ever feel well again. I wonder if I'll ever do art again and that was a large supplement to our income.

Hang in there and keep plugging away!

No apologies are necessary. :) Your life must come first. It's so hard sometimes to catch up - I find it happening to me a lot. It's hard to find balance - which I've been finding to be a common theme as of late. I'm still trying to find a very happy medium. I'm getting there - and so will you. :) Theresa

No need to apologize, dear Sarah. Life and family and health come first. Better to be busy than idle. You have no idea how much I respect and admire your strength and outlook, and the more I learn about you, the stronger those feelings become.

Your macro photos, by the way, are stellar!

Many warm hugs to you. xoxo
