"Mistakes"? Well kind of......

Uncooperative subjects - giggle....

I was at one of my favorite spots this morning... Pioneer Woman..Ree Drummond's Blog..if you haven't popped in there..do yourself a favor and do. She will make you smile..I promise! She has a photographer on her blog whom I am quite fond of.. Miz Booshay. You can also find her here on blogger as Donna Boucher. I love her blog here too!!!

Donna posted several of her "mistakes" this morning and it got me to thinking. As artists and photographers..we tend to offer up our very best work. I think that is why I looove art WIPs - "works in progress" so much..a little look into the process of creating. So..I thought well..what is a WIP in photography? There will be fifty pics that hit the round file for the one I actually use. No kidding, I snap about a thousand pics a month. I post maybe 25 or so and save another 100..maybe. The rest are out the door. So I thought I would share a few of my "not gonna use them" shots and a few mug shots - as we are all hams here... really big hams.

Cut off faces..he is still cute....

Nonni was not happy with me..

Ok I loooove this one...look at Nonni's face....whaaahahahahaha..love it. Yes that is my beautiful Kate.

The focus & lighting were a bit off here..but they seem to be enjoying themselves....

A loser?? I am thinkin' no...look at those eyes..yikes I'm in trouble with that one.

K..so this one was just one of those mugging ones - isn't Hanna delightful - giggle snort!!

There are a few giggles for this morning. Have a great day all, Sarah

Hello there Sarah! Sometimes I feel the not so good photos, end up being some of the best! These are lovely no matter what!

That's a great selection there Sarah. The 'fun' in those pictures really comes through.

Okay, mistakes huh? My favorite of these so-called mistakes posted here is that face on Nonni! I can absolutely hear her saying, "We all hate it!" *giggle*

And it's a good thing I love you, otherwise I'd hate you because even your mistakes are pretty flippin' great!

I'm ruthless with photos -- if I don't see any potential in them when I upload them to the computer, they're gone. Sometimes the "mistakes" have the most potential, though! I really like the cut-off face!

Sometimes the *mistakes* are the most important one ... look at the faces, the personalities, the joy! You go girl!

Sarah I love seeing pictures of the kids.

Have fun tomorrow. I am so glad Jim will be home.

Do you feel a sore back coming on. Maybe you will have to tell the kids you will be going to bed early tomorrow night because you are not feeling good.

These may not be what a posed, professional studio photo would look like, but these are the ones that make the memories in future times.

Their personalities jump off of the monitor, and your interaction with the kids through your lens sings loud and clear! Well done!!

I think that you're going to have to dig deeper to find your "mistakes", my dear! lol
