Friday My Town Shoot Out - From the Hip!!
So....our assignment this week was to "shoot from the hip" literally!! So I actually had time to take some photos this week..but I woke this morning to....a foot of snow and negative wind chill..and a snow day for the kids. So...I opened the door long enough to take a few shots and then decided to shoot pics in the house..cause..it was freezing outside!!
Here is a shot of Tink..she was looking at my face LOL!! Sweet Kit!
The toy shelf..with puzzles, games and an I spy rice box..it is full of little things to find as you shake it!
This sweet pony is one of the school favorites. He has been much loved by many a napping kiddo! He has also been washed more times than I can count. I am quite fond of him too:)
Here are some of my favorite movies..right at hip level. I always find it fascinating to see people's book & movie shelves...what does this group say about me LOL!! A romantic, period piece, fantasy/sci fi geek...sword wielding, kiddo movie fan...???!!
Ok...so I have to go now and empty the dishwasher..and reload it. On days with lots of daycare kiddos...we go through alot of dishes!
Have a great weekend all!! Hugs, Sarah
I think that these turned out great.
ReplyDeleteWitness is one of my favourite movies. Be careful out among the English!
ReplyDeleteReally like the feel of the dishwasher shot!
ReplyDeleteI can almost feel the chill when looking at the first photo. I may look so beautiful I don't want to be there cos I can't stand cold!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you just opened the door long enough to shoot from the hip. Brrr. So if the kids have a snow day, the parents still have to work so you have more kids?
ReplyDeleteStill very cold here too but at least we had a bit of sunshine to go with it this week.
ReplyDeletePS Oh I see we have several DVDs in common ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Tink,
ReplyDeleteDid your mum have some green veg in her teeth? LOL
You sure is a gorgeous cat,
Wow! I can't believe it is still SNOWing in Your Town, but it sure makes for a beautiful Photo Shot! Makes me feel kinda bad for showing off the Texas Sunshine and Garden Center....oh well, Ya'll will get there!
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to see your movies, the dishwasher and other scenes around your house! Good idea to shoot inside! Stay warm and have a good weekend. I may go back to Stuff Mart and get some Big Boys!
What fun shots! Though the first one is so pretty!!!! I love looking at the snow....And you live on such a gorgeous street. :0)
ReplyDeleteHope Life is treating you well. Miss you! ♥
We were both limited in town. It has rained like a plague around here. It will soon be flooding in many places. Just a week ago it was snow. You have some great shots. I have some of the same DVD's. Love Harry Potter.

LOVE the photo's that you posted. What a great challenge - shooting from the hip. I think that I will try that as soon as our weather improves. Today, it is -40C with wind chill! Brrr.
xoxoxo
nice - your first and last are my favs. to bad you don't have my dishes in your dishwasher - everything is a differenc colore, fiesta ware stuff, oranges, yellow, dark blue, light blue.... that might make an interesting shot..... unfortunately Camillo usually loads the dishwasher and he is like - anal - everythink lined up and neat.... so maybe mine would be boring.... LOL.
ReplyDeleteI'd step back inside pretty quick smart, too. Doubt if I would even opened the doors. Love your inside shots especially your dear cat.
ReplyDeleteTink looks she's waiting for a little head scratch :-)
ReplyDeleteStay warm! xo jj
Yeah, it's real cold here in western OR tonight, too, which is unusual for us. But now you have made me crave a movie, and also reminded me that I should run the dishwasher! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteTink is toooo beautiful.
You have to give that pony a hug from me too - he looks so adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour snow looks so beautiful!! It's raining here :(
We don't get snow here much so when we do, no matter the temperature I'm out in it running around with my son! In fact, you can usually find me in the street with all the other kids playing snowball fights and making snow angels!
all wonderful shots from the hip Sarah. I like the peek outside, your cat and the fav toy pony. I just got a new kitty a while back that will hopefully look like your Tink when I get her nursed back to normal. I think she was abused, people were not honest with me on things.
ReplyDeleteoohhh.. I love the cat picture!!!!!
