Friday My Town Shoot Out..Black and White
I love a good black and white shot...lots of contrast. So one of my favorite black and white subjects are flowers...lots of pop!! The above marigold I featured last week in color..here is the B&W version.
Water droplets....I love water shots...
Mums are perfection in black and white..
New Cone Flowers...wonderful...
Of course a good person shot is great in black and white..but ya have to get just the right contrast...
Here is a wonderful family I found in the woods..they posed for me:)
I let a bit of color seep back into this shot..
Oh and fog...I adore fog in black and white!!
Even blurry fog...love it!!
Being a pen and ink artist..I couldn't let black and white pass without a little artwork:)
Happy Weekend all!!! Hugs, Sarah

ReplyDeleteall of them.
You found a wonderful family in the woods? Jeez, all I ever find are squirrels!
ReplyDeleteI really like your people shots and of course the fog shots are the absolute best.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh, my Lord! I'm a bit speechless. Gorgeous photos! And an absolutely lovely drawing!
ReplyDeleteI like it that you included a drawing. Thanks. Your flower pictures are very elegant and just so beautiful. The third one seems to have just a tinge of sepia and I wonder how you did that; is it just de-saturating the color? It is very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sarah. I especially like the fog- the colors look especially rich. And you know how much I like your ink art-- lovely.
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is grand. xo jj
Beautiful macro shots.
ReplyDeletethese are all so beautiful Sarah!
ReplyDeleteYour blurry fog photo is the way it looks here today. Snow has been on the ground for a few weeks, sun comes out and melts a little of it and then more snow so it pretty much stays about a foot deep but today there is the added beauty of fog. Love it. I like the black and white mum. It is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how a lack of color can change how we perceive things? I could NOT have told you that first picture was a marigold, despite twenty years of growing the things! Beautiful work--thank you for sharing it.

ReplyDeleteOh wowww, Sarah! Your photos are gorgeous! I never would have guessed that the first one was a marigold And beautiful shots of people as well. You should be a professional photographer!
