(No not me...but isn't she beautiful!! Look at that blissful face! Yup,I want that!!)
Our Shepherdess Jamie has asked us today....What do we wish to begin? Funny she asked us this today. Today I begin my first day of major change not only in my work but my direction. Today is the first day that I will be taking the morning to myself and doing artwork...only artwork. No kiddos to watch until noon. Can ya see me happy dancin'? I got up at 4:45 just so I could do this first!!!
I have been circling the equator for far too long now. I knew I was, but bills had to be paid and I needed to pull the family out of that poor pit first. So for the last two years I have been doing just that. Walking the same old path around and around again. It is safe, I don't mind so much as I love the kiddos. But honestly...I could feel my True North, my artwork was calling me to venture out off the beaten path, where it's not so very safe and Let Fly with my art muse.
Being the ever Libra that I am...I needed some balance in this. So about a year and a half ago I started selling my artwork on Ebay. It was scary as hell that first listing. Then, I met amazing and wonderful people there, they invited me to join their art groups!!!! I have learned and grown and spread my little online wings. Its fun, its exciting...I loved it. I am in several venues now and this month I am opening my own website!!!! WHOOHOO!! Huge goal for me. But I have done this all the safe way. Only doing art when time permitted.
So today as planned for the last six months...I am wandering off the path and heading for my True North. Starting the path to support the family with my artwork. I have taken my muse's hand, thrown on my well balanced backpack and some serious hiking boots. Right now this very moment I will be off and walking towards my True North. Wish me luck! Wonderful! You are full of surprises.... Of course I know very little about you, just a few reads of postings. I was surprised by the newsa that your husband had been in Iraq, by your automobile dilema (Made me wish I were geogpaphically closer to give you rides and/or the loan of my jeep). Now, a new artistic direction and plans to live on art work!
