Some New Sets of Knitting & Taxes......

Here a two new sets of fingerless glove/coffee cozy sets available in my Etsy shop. I loooooove, love this yarn..soft and the colors..to die for. I went and bought another skein just for me. Deep blues and turquoise..they remind me of the sea. They have been created to fit adult hands and the cozy has been done in a basket weave stitch. The gloves are finished with an abalone button. I don't know about you..but anything Celtic attracts me. So when I decided it was time to create some St. Patrick's day gloves...I went in search of some Celtic Knot buttons...again..want to keep these. Created in deep green, washable wool and a coffee cozy to match again in a basket weave stitch. You can find them here!



One last little note....I finished them...sent them in ...and can now breathe...and do a tax happy dance!! I really am!!!

Friday My Town Shoot Out...

Giggle..I just could not resist..this shot cracks me up..yes my weird cat..but she is so cute!! I had to head into my archives this week...snow days and a house full of not only my kiddos...but everyone else's kiddos too. Hope ya don't mind! Being a color outside the lines gal...the subject of weird or odd..uncommon....unusual always attracts me..so here we go....

What Was I Thinking........

This last Saturday afternoon..Nonni was invited to a skate party. I love to skate...adore skating..I used to be wicked good! Uhmmmmm...not so much anymore! I did manage to get around and not fall down...not disgrace myself and helped Nonni learn how to skate..she did awesome!!!

I was really nervous skating again..it had been over ten years. But what made me really nervous was the fact that when I had Nonni I foolishly accepted an epidural. I had had my previous four naturally and Fox was born at home with a midwife. I was told it was perfectly safe..blah blah blah..for most women that is the truth. Not so much for me...it damaged my spine. I didn't realize something was wrong until several weeks later when I found myself face first in the dirt after trying to step up a curb...a CURB!!

I spent the next year walking my backside off..trying to get my legs back under me..It was about then a friend of mine..an RN told me what had happened..the epidural had done damage. I have 90% back in my right leg...and about 65% in my left. On a general basis I don't notice it at all..but when I strapped on those skates and started skating to the left...oh boy...I FELT it. Weakness and a lot of shakiness in that leg...ackkkkkkkkkkk!

So I decided right there, on those skates that I am going to work really hard this year to get some of that strength back. Starting with yoga and weight lifting for my legs. It was a bit of a shock and really discouraging...but I am determined to skate wickedly again..cause Nonni loved it and I want to skate with her and not embarrass myself.

OK enough of that...
Here are a couple of Christmas Eve shots..thought I would finally share them. Here is my beautiful Kate...she doesn't let me get many shots of her!! I love this one!

Friday My Town Shoot Out..

Our subject today is...macro photography. As in little close up worlds or close up tight shots of a subject. I don't think it is a secret that I adore a good macro shot! I love them! I love finding something to get really up close to! So here are few new ones..and some of my favorites. Happy Friday all!!

A Couple More Valentine Treats...

I just had to do a few pen and inks..and some pink paper..cause it is just to delicious to work with pink now and again. Each of these pieces are about 8 1/2"x 5 1/2" and are unframed. They could be added to a card or framed for a special Valentine. You can find them here... Click on the pic to make them larger!

I also created another digital download..all hearts and more hearts. Perfect for coloring or using in scrap booking!! This download is 8 1/2" x 11" and again I suggest that they be printed on card stock. You will find these in my Etsy shop here also!!

Some Valentine's Treats

I am a big Valentine's fan..maybe cause it is simple and small..and full of fun crafts to do with the kids. You can find all of these treats and more in my Etsy Shop! Add colored paper, glitter..you name it! These come as a digital download right to your email! There are 12 smaller and two larger teacher type cards..of course you can print as many sheets as you need.



the smaller ones are 3 1/2"x 2 1/2" each and the larger are 4"x4"!
